Dr. LOY Keng Foo（黎经富）, 1936年出生在海南省琼海市中原镇乌皮村，1959年毕业于南洋大学地理系。1963年进入日本东京大学研究院地理系攻读硕士学位，1965年取得硕士学位，1968年取得博士学位。当年回到新加坡，被聘为南洋大学地理系副教授，过了两年出任地理系主任。1971年，受命担任新加坡共和国驻日本大使。黎博士藏书丰富，涉猎广泛，尤以中国书法绘画、政治经济、日本文化、东亚研究为主。2019年3月，将其个人藏书捐赠厦门大学马来西亚分校图书馆，共144箱。个人之精美博士论文《A Comparative Study of Land Use in Suburban Areas of Hong Kong and Singapore 》亦赠入本馆收藏，尤为珍贵。

Mr. Bo Wen LIN（林博文）, 1945年生于台湾新竹，毕业于淡江大学，美国西东大学硕士，在美国投入新闻业，曾在《远东时报》、美国《中报》、《美洲中国时报》、《中国时报》等媒体任职，出任美国《中报》总编辑、《中国时报》主笔。也担任《中国时报》、《亚洲周刊》专栏作家。1990年代离开媒体第一线工作后，以他对民国和当代人物的了解开始写作，代表作包括《时代的投影：近代人物品评》、《历史的暗流：近代中美关系秘辛》、《跨世纪第一夫人宋美龄》、《一句话改变世界》、《历史从此改写：跨世纪人物评点》、《黑旋风欧巴马》、《张学良、宋子文档案大揭秘》、《悸动的六〇年代》、《关键民国》等13种书。2019年3月，由其七妹林光美（台湾大学图书馆资深馆长）介绍、夫人陈清玉（Chinyu LIN）女士安排从纽约法拉盛家中捐赠全部的总共244箱，计9349册，价值约20万美元的中英文个人藏书给厦门大学马来西亚分校图书馆。
