Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia (Malaysian Examinations Council), The Malaysian Examination Council (MPM) which was established on 1 February 1980 under the Malaysian Examination Council Act [Act 225] is a statutory body operating under the auspices of the Ministry of Education Malaysia. The opening ceremony of the MPM was officiated by the then Minister of Education, YB Dato' Musa bin Hitam on 22 April 1980. Goals of the establishment of MPM The goal is to conduct certain exams and all other things that are necessary or incidental to the exams. Among the gazetted examinations are as follows: The Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) was first implemented in 1982 to replace the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan (STP) examinations conducted by the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). After the acquisition of both examinations by MPM, the names of the STP and HSC examinations were changed to the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination. Kementerian Kewangan Malaysia (Ministry of Finance), The Ministry of Finance (Malay: Kementerian Kewangan), abbreviated MOF, is a ministry of the Government of Malaysia that is charged with the responsibility for government expenditure and revenue raising. The ministry's role is to develop economic policy and prepare the Malaysian federal budget. The Ministry of Finance also oversees financial legislation and regulation. Each year in October, the Minister of Finance presents the Malaysian federal budget to the Parliament. The Minister of Finance administers his functions through the Ministry of Finance and a range of other government agencies. Its headquarters is in Ministry of Finance Complex, Putrajaya. Lembaga Minyak Sawit Malaysia, MPOB is the government agency entrusted to serve the country’s oil palm industry. Its main role is to promote and develop national objectives, policies and priorities for the wellbeing of the Malaysian oil palm industry. It was incorporated by an Act of Parliament (Act 582) and established on 1 May 2000, taking over, through a merger, the functions of the Palm Oil Research Institute of Malaysia (PORIM) and the Palm Oil Registration and Licensing Authority (PORLA). Each of these respective organisations has been involved in the oil palm industry for more than 20 years and it is to render more effective services as well as to give greater national and international focus to the industry that MPOB was instituted.
