Mdm (The Late) LEE Chui Woon, In memory of Mdm. Lee Chui Woon. She was married of in her teens to a widower with five young boys. Although she lacks formal education, she honed her living skills from the School of Rough, Tough and Hard Knocks of Life which enabled her to manage the finances and administration for a large household. She bore 5 boys and 2 girls in her marriage to Mr. Fong Mok. During the Japanese Occupation of Malaya, she embarked on an epic journey with five young boys in tow walking from Pagoh via Lenga to Segamat to link up with Mr. Fong Mok. It was a perilous journey filled with uncertainty but through her leadership, courage and guidance they made it to safety. Dato’ Sri Dr. HOU Kok Chung(何国忠), 马来亚大学中文系毕业,伦敦大学亚非学院博士,曾在马来亚大学中文系任教,先后担任东亚系主任、中国研究所所长,厦门大学国际关系学院/南洋研究院客座教授。他的学术研究领域包括华人知识分子和马来西亚华人知识分子的思想与困境等。2008年从政,曾任高等教育部副部长。著有《班苔谷灯影》、《今我来思》、《塔里塔外》、《文化人的感情世界》、《马来西亚华人:身份认同、文化与族群政治》、《珍惜》、《本心》和《底蕴》等。编有《社会变迁与文化诠释》、《承袭与抉择:马来西亚华人理事与任务文化篇》、《全球化话语下的中国及马来西亚》、《文化几以与华人社会》、《百年回眸》两种;合编有《马来西亚华人史新编》、《中华文化之路》。并出版英文著作多部。 Generously donated 100 books to the library collection of Xiamen University Malaysia in 2026-06. Ms. Ng Yean Leng(伍燕翎), 出生於馬來西亞雪蘭莪州梳邦新村,祖籍中國廣東高州信宜,第三代華人。馬來亞大學中文系畢業,馬來西亞博特拉大學現代語文暨傳播學院文學博士。 現為新紀元大學學院文學與社會科學院院長、中文系教授及博士生導師,並擔任馬來西亞華文作家協會會長。 長期專注於馬來西亞華文文學與華人文化的研究與教學,並從事散文創作。曾於2022年赴日本創價大學擔任客座教授。 著有散文集《移动的光》,并编有《百年传承华人故事——————接棒人》及《华文教科书上的马华文学(国中篇)》。 Generously donated 1 book to the library collection of Xiamen University Malaysia in 2026-06. |
